International Harvester Collectors 17th Annual National Winter Convention
International Harvester Collectors will hold their 17th Annual National Winter Convention at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center in Waterloo on March 5, 6, & 7th. The Convention is hosted by Iowa Chapter 5 and the Ramada Inn is the host hotel. The Iowa Chapter is proud to have on display the 5,000,000th tractor that International Harvester made the 1066. It came off the assembly line in early 1974 and is presently at the Montana State Ag Museum. Iowa Chapter is traveling to Montana to bring this prized tractor for display at the convention. The tractor has not been out of the Museum since it arrived there on June 15, 1995. An Ertl limited edition 1/16th scale model of this tractor will be for sale. The Convention will have IH vendors, displays, seminars for both men and women, Friday night Auction, and will end with a Saturday evening Banquet. Guest speaker at the Saturday evening banquet will be Ken Root who is the Lead Farm Broadcaster at WHO Radio in Des Moines and WMT Radio in Cedar Rapids.
